Any student willing to join in BC must do so at the beginning of the semester, unless an exceptional admission is authorized by the Board of Management. All students registered in BC diploma/degree program should not be registered in any other similar/equivalent programs. Failure to observe this rule will cause dismissal from BC.

Admission requirements

The admission to Bosaso College is open to all qualified Somali students irrespective of region, clan or rather political affiliation. Prospective students should however fulfill the following requirements:

• Must have completed secondary school study with a minimum pass mark of 70%in his/her secondary school.
• Should bring the original secondary school leaving certificate.
• Good conduct certificate
• Four recent 4x6 passport size photos
• Must sign the BC rules and regulations, code of conduct.
• Should successfully pass BC individual interview and admission test.
• Pay a registration fee of.

Academic year and admission

The BC academic year is from 1st September to 30th May.
The admission is done in August and February Applications should be submitted January/February and July/August

Intake policy and procedures

• The number of new students enrolled at the college for all departments will be publicly announced prior to the start of academic year.
• Candidates should submit their Applications neat and complete in all respects. The College Prospectus and Application Form (Form I) can be obtained from the Administration Office of the College on payment of $15 for degree level programs and $10 for Short Courses. Candidates will have to deposit a Registration Fee of 30,000 SHs.
• The candidates must attach/bring a long with following documents:
• Certified copy of Secondary leaving Certificate (2 copies)
• Birth Certificate (2 copies).
• The original documents are to be produced at the time of interview.
• Selected candidates for admission will be informed of their selection by Phone. The names of all selected candidates will also be displayed on the College Notice Board.
• Please note that application Form and other documents submitted shall not be returned.
• Incomplete Application shall not be considered.
• The Application shall be rejected in case the candidate is found guilty of misrepresentation of material facts.
• In case at any stage it is found that the documents on the basis of which admission was granted are forged/tampered, the admission will be instantly cancelled and the fee paid shall be not be refunded.
• The College reserves the right for legal action also.

Selection of candidates

The candidates shall be selected on the basis of selection criteria formulated by the Admission Committee plus written admission test.

Admission Test / Interview

1. An Admission Test and interview will be conducted
2. The Admission Test shall be held at the Collage and the candidates should reach the College by the time specified on the Admit Card. Late comers shall not be allowed to take the Test.
3. The applicants are required to write their answers using black or blue pen colors only.
4. The candidates shall be required to appear before an interview committee for final selection. The schedule of interviews shall be displayed on the Notice Board of the College.
5. The Admission Committee will process the applications on the basis of merit as determined by the applicant's previous academic record, his/her performance in the Admission Test and Interview.

Medium of instruction

Instructions in all courses are carried out in English language. The examinations are also conducted in English. Somali language maybe however used in situations where there is further understating and deliberation on the matter is needed.
